Cross Country Social Contract
In cross country, I will run for something greater than myself and demonstrate the following characteristics...
Air Academy Cross-Country Core Covenants
Our coaching covenants:
Act as positive role models. What we do is more impactful than what we say. Treat all team members with respect, dignity, and fairness. Contribute to preparing each individual we coach for life after high school by teaching them hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and attention to detail. This will allow them to succeed, no matter how difficult or daunting the task.
Team Covenants:
Respect - Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Integrity - If you have it, nothing else matters. If you don't have it, nothing else matters. Always do what's right.
Commitment - The success of any organization depends on the commitment of its members. After family and academics, cross-country should be the top priority.
Personal Responsibility - Take responsibility for your actions and realize a person's own choices dictate outcomes.
Maximization of Potential - Anything worth doing is worth doing to the best of your ability.
Hard work - It's the foundation of our program. No one will ever question our intensity, work ethic, or desire to succeed.
Enthusiasm - Nothing great was ever accomplished without it.
Team First - The welfare of the team is more important than individual agendas.
Sportsmanship - Win with humility and lose with dignity.
Character - Hold yourself to the highest possible standard. Your actions should always represent you, your family, and AAHS in a positive manner.
